After a two year absence, the Hubris fanzine is
back! Hubris is 32 pages (16 in full-colour) printed and
contains a mix of Transformers text-stories, features,
reviews and (sometimes) comic strips. Only a nominal fee
is charged to cover printing and postage costs, no profit
is made. Ordering details, tiny previews and a full
contents list are here!
SPOTLIGHT: MIRAGE
Transformers newcomer George Strayton
provides an all-too-brief glimpse of a world, and a
Mirage, where all is not as it seems. Separated by some
kind of harmonic phasing cross-dimensional mirror,
"Spotlight: Mirage" dabbles with an alternate reality
story dictated by the titular character's
choices.

SPOTLIGHT: ARCEE
They say the Pit has no fury like a woman scorned,
and with that in mind, IDW Publishing unleash the
ever-controversial Arcee into their world. The once kind
token female Autobot baby-sitter has been reinvented with
an almighty microchip on her
shoulder.

SPOTLIGHT: BLASTER
Blaster makes a most impressive debut into the new
Transformers storyline, and Simon Furman has added
extra depth and charisma to an already well-established
persona.

FLIGHT OF THE
NAVIGATOR
Hublog
Gratuitous product placement was rife in movies,
even in the 80s! Have a closer look at this screenshot of
the 1987 film, "Flight of the
Navigator"
THE ASCENDING
"The Ascending" is a perilous trek through the
thick vines and exposed, slippery roots of the Nostalgia
Jungle. It brings back painful memories of
turn-of-the-century convention stories such as "Reaching
the Omega Point", "Alignment", and the various post-Beast
Machines "Universe" stories, all dealing with the
ascension to godhood, the destruction of order and the
reign of chaos.
